Everyday usability and performance: seemingly contradictory characteristics that Porsche has always combined successfully in its products. This also applies to the newly developed Performance Roof Box from Porsche Tequipment.
Alongside the new design, the focus of development was on the maximum permitted speed: the Performance Roof Box has been subjected to a comprehensive programme of trials and tests for the new Taycan Cross Turismo – for speeds up to 200 km/h.
The Taycan Cross Turismo is the newest member of the Porsche all-electric sports car range and is a versatile off-road version, thereby continuing the systematic pursuit of its path towards sustainable mobility. The new high-tech chassis with all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension also ensures uncompromising dynamics off-road. Thirty-six millimetres more headroom for rear-seat passengers and more than 1,200 litres of load capacity, loaded through the large tailgate at the rear, make the Cross Turismo a true all-rounder.
The new roof box has the additional ‘Performance’ designation due to the fact that it has been tested at maximum speeds of up to 200 km/h. In this way, Porsche is meeting the wishes of many customers who also want to use the additional luggage space at higher speeds. This testing included comprehensive tests relating to aerodynamic behaviour and handling characteristics.
In addition to unique design, outstanding individualisation options and performance that is typical for the brand, development of the new roof box focused on simple handling and a high degree of everyday usability. The box can be conveniently mounted on all base carrier roof transport systems by means of a quick-fastening system. The roof box has a capacity of 480 litres and can be opened from both sides, allowing easy and uniform loading.

*Data determined in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) as required by law. You can find more information on WLTP at www.porsche.com/wltp . For Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) range and Equivalent All Electric Range (EAER) figures are determined with the battery fully charged, using a combination of both battery power and fuel.
Values are provided for comparison only. To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
