Porsche is the most successful marque in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with an unrivalled 19 wins in the French endurance race. The first of these was in 1970, and 47 years later, this June saw the achievement of a remarkable hat trick 2015-2017; a feat that enabled the Porsche team to keep the Winners’ trophy in perpetuity.
In celebration of this success, a special series of the 911 Carrera 4 GTS has been developed by Porsche Cars Great Britain and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur – the ‘British Legends Edition’. These very special 911 models pay homage to British race drivers Richard Attwood, Derek Bell and Nick Tandy, who each took historic wins in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the factory Porsche team in 1970, 1982 and 2015 respectively. Derek, of course, is Britain’s most successful race driver at Le Mans, with a total of five outright wins.
There is a 911 Carrera 4 GTS British Legends Edition unique to each driver, identified by the number of their winning Porsche racing car and its colour scheme incorporated into the livery. The drivers played an important role in the design and configuration of ‘their’ British Legends Edition, incorporating personal preferences and reminiscences of their own experiences racing with Porsche at Le Mans.
The 3.0-litre flat-six cylinder ‘boxer’ engine in the 911 GTS offers 450 hp, 30 hp more than the 911 Carrera S. Every 911 is renowned for its scintillating power delivery, but with its 10% greater maximum torque the GTS offers even better acceleration and responsiveness. Each GTS also features the Sport Chrono Package incorporating dynamic engine mounts and steering wheel-mounted mode switch, plus a switchable, modified sports exhaust system. Fitted with the optional PDK transmission, it can sprint from zero to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds with Launch Control activated.
The 911 Carrera 4 GTS British Legends Edition is on sale from 9 October, from £122,376.00 incl. VAT RRP. For more information on the British Legends Edition, please speak to a member of our Sales Team.

* Data determined in accordance with the measurement method required by law. Since September 01, 2018 all new cars are approved in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), a more realistic test procedure to measure fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. You can find more information on WLTP at www.porsche.com/wltp. From 01 January 2019, all fuel consumption figures are shown as determined in accordance with WLTP. CO₂ figures will be shown as NEDC-equivalent values, as CO₂ based taxation will continue to be based on an NEDC value (derived from WLTP) until 06 April 2020. Fuel economy and CO₂ emission figures are only intended as a means of comparing different types of vehicles tested under the same test cycle. New WLTP homologated vehicles are therefore not directly comparable with any vehicles tested under NEDC.
Values are provided for comparison only. To the extent that fuel consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Extra features and accessories (attachments, tyre formats etc.) can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel consumption and CO₂ values. Additionally, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, electricity consumption, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
